Description
The SR?X2V is a precision replacement O2 (oxygen) sensor cartridge manufactured by Honeywell BW Technologies. It is designed to be used in a range of BW “GasAlert” portable gas detectors to accurately monitor oxygen concentrations in potentially hazardous environments.
Key Features & Functionality
- Gas Detected: Oxygen (O2)
- Measurement Range: 02to?30.0?% by volume.
- Resolution: 0.12% (i.e., it can detect and display oxygen concentration changes with a precision of 0.1%)
- Operating Temperature Range: −4°F to 122°F (≈ −20°C to +50°C)
- Compatibility: Designed for use with several Honeywell BW “GasAlert” detectors, including:
- GasAlert Max XT II
- GasAlert MicroClip XT / XL
- GasAlert Quattro
- GasAlert Micro25 series
- (Also replaces the older SR2X10 and SR?X102C1 oxygen sensors.)
- Form Factor: Plug-in cartridge design allows for fast field replacement, minimizing downtime.
- Pre-Calibrated: Ships pre-calibrated for consistent performance and accuracy.
- Durability: Built to maintain sensor stability and reactivity over its lifespan for reliable oxygen detection.
Benefits
- Reliable Oxygen Monitoring: Helps ensure safe oxygen levels in confined spaces or other work environments where oxygen depletion or enrichment is a concern.
- Easy Maintenance: The plug-in design makes it simple to swap out the sensor in the field without needing extensive disassembly.
- Wide Compatibility: Supports a variety of GasAlert detectors, making it a versatile replacement sensor for many use cases.
- Extended Use: Built for prolonged operation under standard industrial conditions, helping in reducing maintenance frequency.
Applications
- Industrial Safety: Monitoring oxygen in environments such as confined spaces, chemical plants, or manufacturing facilities.
- Portable Gas Detection: Used in handheld or wearable detectors carried by safety personnel, inspectors, or engineers.
- Calibration / Sensor Replacement: Ideal for field replacement when the existing oxygen sensor in a compatible device reaches its end-of-life or shows degraded performance.
Important Notes
- After installing a new SR2X2V sensor, it’s recommended to allow the sensor some time to stabilize before using the instrument for accurate readings.
- Regular calibration and bump testing are important to maintain sensor accuracy and reliability.
- Proper handling and storage are critical, as electrochemical sensors can degrade if exposed to extreme conditions or contaminants.
