Description

The X‑plore Bayonet P100 Particle Filter is a high‑efficiency particulate respirator filter designed for Dräger’s bayonet‑type masks, such as the X‑plore 3300/3500 half masks and X‑plore 5500 full‑face masks. This pack of 22 (i.e. 11 pairs) offers ample quantity for extended use and replacement cycles.

This P100 filter is engineered to deliver 99.97 % minimum aerosol (particulate) filtration efficiency, meeting strict standards like NIOSH 42 CFR 84 for particulate protection. Its housing uses a durable plastic casing with a tear‑drop profile and integrated air inlets, while the filter element is made of pleated micro‑glass fibre paper.

The filter connects to compatible masks via Dräger’s bayonet coupling system, offering a secure, guided snap-on fit with clear tactile feedback when properly seated. The lateral positioning of the filter on the mask ensures a wide, unobstructed field of view and balanced weight distribution.

Among its design considerations:

  • The pleating design and internal geometry are optimized to reduce breathing resistance, improving user comfort during extended wear. The filter includes double splash protection — a robust casing plus hydrophobic-treated filter paper — to resist liquid ingress and enhance safety in wet or hazardous environments.

  • It has a long shelf life: for particle filters, up to 10 years from production under proper storage conditions.

The filter is particle-only and does not protect against gases or vapors, so in environments with chemical hazards, it should be paired or replaced with appropriate gas or combination filters.

Each unit (filter) weighs about 61 g (excluding packaging) and is dimensioned approximately 106 × 84 × 37 mm (including the bayonet connection). The filter housing is made of ABS plastic, and the internal filter media is sealed with adhesive to ensure air-tight integrity.
