Complete SCBA Kit for Hazardous Atmospheres
The Draeger Complete SCBA Kit is a supplied air respirator designed for confined space work, emergency egress, and hazardous atmosphere tasks. Emergency responders, maintenance technicians, and utility workers typically use this equipment to maintain respiratory protection and escape capability. This NIOSH approved kit includes a Panorama Nova full face mask, a positive pressure connection, and a 5-minute escape cylinder.
Industry Applications and Professional Use
Emergency Services Work Environments
Emergency responders commonly use a complete SCBA kit when they enter unknown or contaminated atmospheres during rescue and evacuation work. The full face mask and breathing apparatus setup support short-duration entry tasks where quick exit planning matters. Teams often rely on the rugged harness and escape cylinder to match fast-moving incident conditions.
Manufacturing Facilities
Maintenance technicians and industrial safety personnel typically use this supplied air respirator in plant areas with fumes, vapors, or process-related airborne hazards. It works well during shutdowns, line service, and confined equipment access. The chemical resistant materials and heat resistant materials support demanding industrial environments.
Oil & Gas Operations
Workers in oil & gas sites often need respiratory protection for tank work, turnaround activity, and controlled access tasks. This complete SCBA kit supports airline escape use when conditions require a reliable backup air source. The aluminum cylinder and standard ALE valve suit planned work where short escape capacity adds flexibility.
Utilities Work Environments
Utility workers frequently use compressed-air breathing apparatus systems during plant outages, vault access, and service interruptions. The up to 300 feet or 12 hose length sections reach helps crews stay connected to the air source across larger work zones. This setup supports coordinated work where positive pressure and egress readiness matter.
Mining and Construction Sites
Rescue teams and site supervisors commonly choose this equipment for confined or hard-to-ventilate spaces in mining and construction settings. Workers often need a full face mask and escape cylinder combination when air conditions change quickly. The machine washable harness helps support repeated use in active field operations.
Technical Specifications and Product Features
Understanding Product Standards
Specifications matter because respiratory protection equipment must fit the job, the environment, and the air source setup. This kit combines a supplied air respirator with an escape cylinder and a positive pressure plug-in connection for controlled use. NIOSH approved equipment gives buyers a clear benchmark for regulated respiratory applications.
| Specification | What It Means | Practical Benefit |
|---|---|---|
| NIOSH approved | Meets the listed respiratory protection approval standard | Supports compliant selection for professional breathing apparatus use |
| 5-minute 2216 AL cylinder | Aluminum escape cylinder with 2216 psi rating | Provides short-duration escape capability in emergency situations |
| Positive pressure plug-in connection | Face mask connection type for the breathing system | Helps support a secure interface with compressed-air breathing apparatus |
| Rugged harness | Flame/heat and chemical resistant materials | Supports demanding industrial use and frequent handling |
Use Case Scenarios and Applications
Confined Space Entry and Egress
Crews typically use this complete SCBA kit when they enter tanks, pits, vaults, or other confined spaces with uncertain air quality. The escape cylinder gives workers a short exit window if conditions change. The standard LDV and full face mask help support controlled breathing during the task.
Industrial Maintenance and Shutdown Work
Technicians often rely on this supplied air respirator during shutdowns, planned maintenance, and equipment inspection. The airline escape setup supports work that needs both continuous air supply and an emergency backup. The rugged harness and positive pressure design fit active industrial use.
Emergency Response and Rescue
Rescue teams commonly select this breathing apparatus for short-duration entry into hazardous areas. The Panorama Nova face mask and positive pressure connection support rapid donning and field deployment. The complete SCBA kit format helps teams work from a single integrated system.
Hazardous Atmosphere Work
Workers use this equipment in atmospheres where supplied air and escape planning are both part of the job. The airline breathing arrangement suits controlled access work in industrial sites and utility environments. The aluminum cylinder adds a practical backup for short evacuations.
