• The X‑plore 8000 Hood Set is a premium respiratory headgear designed for use with Dräger’s powered air‑purifying respirator (PAPR) systems (such as X‑plore 8500, 8700) or compatible airline systems. 

  This hood set provides users with reliable and comfortable protection for the face, eyes, and head, while maintaining minimal breathing resistance—even during extended use.

  • Lightweight & Comfortable Design
    Constructed from soft, low-noise materials, the hood ensures comfort even over long work shifts.
    The hood’s airflow distribution is engineered to prevent a cold feeling concentrated at a single point. 

  • Visor & Field of Vision
    The integrated visor is made from distortion-reducing polycarbonate, with a spacer to maintain a defined curvature for less visual distortion.

  • Versions & Configurations
    Available in standard (cost-effective) and premium variants, each in short or long versions to suit different protection needs. 

    • The short version covers head and face but leaves ears uncovered—helpful for communication. 

    • The long version extends coverage to include neck, with a dual-layer neck guard suited for use with full-body protective suits. 

  • Hood‑to‑Blower Connection
    The hose connects at the back of the hood, and the hood set is fully compatible with the X‑plore 8000 system’s airflow and safety mechanisms. 
    Intelligent air distribution within the hood ensures even airflow and comfort. 

  • Safety & Certification
    When used in combination with Dräger’s PAPR units, the hood achieves TH3 protection level under EN 12941 standards.
    The hoods themselves meet EN 166 for headpiece/visor protection.
